How to Lean the Mixture on Your Training Aircraft-60 Second Flying!

When I was learning to fly I was always confused with the process of leaning the mixture. Like most student pilots, I flew a basic training aircraft with a fixed pitch prop, no EGT gauge, and minimal engine monitoring equipment onboard. This is how I was taught to lean the mixture for maximum performance running at rich of peak on cross-country flights.
